DDG provides a web hosting service to provide an optimal environment to ensure your website is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

 

This isn't an ordinary web hosting service. It's a premium service offered exclusively to our Web Command customers, optimised for the Web Command Content Management System. Because the service isn't offered to the public, the risk of servers being compromised or overloaded is minimized as security is much tighter and controlled than you would typically see in a regular shared hosting service.

 

What makes our service premium?

 

High Performance: Our service is a shared hosting service but is only shared with our customers. Our web servers have a low ratio of customers to available resources - we aren't aiming to pack as many websites onto each server as possible. This translates into more reliable, faster and secure web hosting which is only typically achievable through much more expensive dedicated server hosting.

 

High Reliability: We keep our equipment well maintained and running on new hardware - this translates into very high levels of uptime. In addition our server hosting is designed for high availability by utilising clustering technology and multiple levels of redundancy.  

 

Data Security: All website data is backed-up offsite daily and in a way that allows us to get your site up and running in the minimum amount of time should an unlikely catastrophic event occur to our server equipment or data centre. This is also in place with standby servers and a disaster recovery plan. Also on offer is an extra backup upgrade option that provides an hourly offsite backup service which is ideal for sites conducting eCommerce transactions or has data that is changing frequently.

 

One-Stop-Shop: All support relating to your website development and hosting is handled by DDG, and you can call us anytime without being placed into telephone queues or dealing with online control panels and ticketing systems. Because DDG are also your website developers, we can upgrade Web Command, website components and troubleshoot problems much more efficiently than when the website is hosted outside of our control. Also, being a full service customer means you have a single point of contact if you need any assistance relating to your site.

    DDG owns and manages it's own server infrastructure located in the Fujitsu Data Centre in Melbourne.

    Geographic Location
    For obvious reasons, the data centre is in a secure, inconspicuous location. But don’t be deceived by appearances. Beyond the anonymous exteriors lies the very latest technology, ensuring that your data remains protected at all times

    Security
    Security is paramount. Guards are on duty every minute of the year and there is complete internal and external CCTV coverage 24x7. Physical access is controlled by proximity card reader, with established procedures to prevent unauthorised entry.

     

    Network Operation Centre
    The fully-integrated Building Management Systems constantly monitor numerous points within the environment – smoke, fire and water detection along with the performance of electrical, air-conditioning and fire suppression systems.
