WebCommand2 Page Manager1. Page Manager
The Page Manager is the central point of access for maintaining and modifying the pages on your web site.

  • Create and delete pages.
  • Select a page and edit its content. Double click the selected page to launch the Edit Page form for that page.
  • Organise pages into folders and sub-pages by simply using drag and drop functionality. Drag a page and drop it into a folder, or drop a page onto another page to make it a sub-page.
  • Create, delete and rename folders.
  • Reorder pages within folders and sub-pages. This will be important for defining the order of items in the generated menus

WebCommand2 Content Editor2. Content Editor
The Content Editor is used to update the actual content on the pages on your web site.

  • Add text
  • Change text
  • Insert tables
  • Insert links
  • Modify the text’s colour, typeface and point size.






 

WebCommand2 Multimedia Library3. Multimedia Library
The Multimedia Library is the point of access for maintaining the media items used by the pages and templates on your web site.


The Media explorer displays the objects contained in the media repository. Using the Multimedia Library you can upload new media items, preview item, drag and drop the items into folders so they can be catalogued logically and create new folders.

 

 

 

 

 

 

WebCommand2 Document Library4. Document Library
The Document Library provides a lower level and totally controlled method of publishing content to your website(s). Users at this level require only the most basic of computer skills to be able to contribute content.

 

An unlimited number of document types can be created using templates that allow users to update predetermined fields. This is ideal for distributed authoring where any person within or external to the organisation can modify and create content. Access to documents is controlled via the Security Module and the editorial process via the Workflow Module.

 

Authors simply update fields in the template directly or cut and paste from other applications such as MS Word. Document manager is ideal for but not limited to content such as Latest News, Faq’s, Policies and Procedures, Events etc.

 

 

5. Workflow Manager
The Workflow Manager controls all functions associated with approving content for publishing on your web site(s). Individual documents can be sent through an unlimited number of approval stages via email to nominated approvers.

This ensures that documents have followed an approved editorial process before being published to the site.

  • Unlimited number of definable process flows that determines the states and transitions a document moves through during the approval process.
  • Each document type can be defined an associated process flow.
  • Unlimited number of definable content channels used to control publishing across company divisions, or departments responsible for sections of the site(s).
  • Each channel may have its own set of people involved in different approval processes.
  • Channels may be separate sections of one site or multiple sites. For example one piece of content may sent to a public site, an intranet and an extranet all of which my have separate process flows


WebCommand2 Security Manager6. Security Manager
Security Manager provides roles based security, where users can be assigned individual logons and be associated with multiple groups or roles. This can be used to limit what users can see within WebCommand2 as well as what they can see on your web site(s).

  • Restrict access to WebCommand2 at a module and or individual document level
  • Restrict access to areas of your web site(s)
  • Control the actions a user can perform on a particular document such as viewing, approving, rejecting and publishing
  • Integratable into a range of network security systems


WebCommand2 eletter7. eLetters
eLetter provides you with the ability to send newsletters on mass via email to your subscriber database. The eLetter can be sent to Categories of subscribers as required meaning that recipients only receive mail relevant to their requested specific area(s) of interest.

 

An eLetter is just another document type in the Document Manager from which you can select subscriber categories. The eLetter is actually made up of other articles already authored to the site. The newsletter is delivered to the recipient in a predefined template style in either html or text.
